Duwamish River Message
I have been spending lots of time with and dreaming about the Duwamish River. The Duwamish River on unceded Duwamish Territory aka Seattle, is one of the most polluted places in the country. The EPA recently decided to cancel the last phase of clean-up even though the pollution levels are high enough to cause harm to the creatures and humans who rely on it for nutrients. I’ve got lots of feels.

I’ve been visiting the river over the last few weeks to ask if I could convene a group of humans to aid in it’s healing. A crackin’ oracular convention was my call.
My hearts been in the right place…or so I thought…and was confused by the messages of resistance. It wasn’t until this morning that I heard the message from the River:
“My magic isn’t gone. There’s nothing to fix about me. Come be with me however we are.”
Humbled again by the adaptive Bodies of Nature.
A message I work hard to live by as a healer, a healing being, and when co-creating healing space.
It isn’t our job to fix any being or body (this case body of water). The medicine is in the combined essences of us healing/being together💗
